Brittany Ramos

BeyondFit owner, Brittany Ramos, demonstrates easy at home exercises that can be used without any equipment or weights. With the closure of gyms all over the state, people had to get creative to stay in shape.

On March 17 Governor Kim Reynolds closed all fitness centers for the foreseeable future.

As of May 1, those restrictions were lifted in 77 counties allowing gyms to reopen at a limited capacity. Some facilities in Hardin County remain closed, while others have opened to the public with new safety precautions in place.

Grayson Cutler

The Cutlers turned one side of their two stall garage into an at home gym. Eldest son, Grayson, is preparing for deployment and wears a 10-pound vest during his workouts.

Gavin Cutler is a sophomore at Iowa Falls-Alden. The Cutler family all use the space at different times and for different gains.

The biggest thing during quarantine is just doing some sort of physical activity for 20-30 a day. According to Brittany Ramos, body weight exercises can be just as beneficial as heavy weights and gym equipment.
