Jordan Newton

Jordan Newton, an eighth grader at Riverbend Middle School, was diagnosed with Growth Hormone Deficiency when he was eight years old. Newton has been taking shots and has put on weight and grown. He was selected as a Kid Captain at a recent Iowa State game.

Jordan Newton may seem quiet, but the Riverbend Middle School eighth grader is very much a people person.

Even being on the big screen in front of a home crowd at Jack Trice Stadium didn’t phase him. In fact, he wasn’t nervous at all.

Due to the pandemic, Jordan Newton was unable to attend the Baylor game he was Kid Captain for. Instead, the was featured on the JumboTron during the contest.

Jordan Newton has come a long way since he was first diagnosed with Growth Hormone Deficiency - both in size and socially. He has started taking dancing classes with Dancing with Roxie and his favorite subject in school is art.
