Despite five doctors at different hospitals telling Rita and Justin Hardee there was less than one percent chance their son would survive, they were not going to give up on their pregnancy.

Skylar Hardee

Skylar Hardee had less than a one percent chance of survival. Now, the 8-year-old Hubbard-Radcliffe Elementary student is a thriving little boy. He will be honored during the Iowa at Wisconsin game on Nov. 9 as a Kid Captain.

Hanging around

During a recent Kids Day at Kinnick Stadium, Skylar Hardee and his family got a tour of the athletic facilities at the University of Iowa and got to meet Hawkeye players and coaches.
