Adam Silvey (middle) and his friends have been using the RC track he made on his property. When he gets a scoring system installed, Silvey hopes to open to event up to more racers.

With a past in stock car racing, the sport has always been a part of Adam Silvey’s life.

Recently, he and some friends starting molding and sculpting a race track on a much smaller scale – one to race remote controlled (RC) cars.

What started as something to do "just for fun" has gotten much more competitive over the last few weeks. As many of 10 people go out to Social Distance Speedway on Sundays and race RC cars.

Lucas Smith has been racing RC cars for several years and has traveled to more than a dozen tracks all over Iowa. The new one in Iowa Falls, at Adam Silvey's house, is one of the funner ones he has used.
