Elise Osman delivers a pitch to the plate during Tuesday's 6-3 non-conference win over Grundy Center. The Cadets had to battle the Spartans and a steady rainfall to claim their third victory of the season.

While both teams had to play seven innings in pelting rainfall, the Iowa Falls-Alden girls left the ballpark with a much sunnier disposition than their counterparts in the other dugout.

Hosting Grundy Center in non-conference play Tuesday, the Cadets won its third game of the season by a 6-3 final. The hosts scored at least one run in five of its six at-bats to improve to 3-10.
