Jonathan Forson

Ellsworth Community College's Jonathan Forson looks to add to his accomplishments this spring. He was first team All-Region, Defensive Player of the Year and first team All-American.

When Jonathan Forson first arrived on the Ellsworth Community College campus he was barely on the depth chart. He wasn’t on the first or second string. In fact, he was a fifth string defensive back.

After sitting out a year off of football it took some time for him to get back into the swing of things but Forson put in the extra time and work. He was rewarded for his efforts this spring when he was named Defensive Player of the Year by the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference coaches and was a first team All-American.

Forson came to ECC as a fifth string defensive back and worked his way up to a starting safety role and led the nation in interceptions in the spring.
