Though she admitted it was emotional the first game she didn't start her junior season, Shelby May is thankful that eighth grader Hailey Rosonke has been able to come in and take some of the pressure off of her. The soon-to-be senior was the only pitcher in rotation for two seasons.

Before the start of the 2020 season, Shelby May knew that reinforcements were on the way.

The soon-to-be South Hardin senior has been the lone pitcher on the varsity staff since she was a freshman and with the addition of eighth grader Hailey Rosonke, May could let out a sigh of relief.

Softball has always been Shelby May's first love. She has been playing the sport since fifth grade and started pitching in middle school.
