South Hardin sophomore Ellie Anderson looks for a kill around the Western Christian block. The Tigers took a set off the top ranked Wolfpack before falling 3-1.

Two teams brought different levels of State Tournament experience to the floor inside Alliant Energy PowerHouse Tuesday afternoon.

Western Christian has a long standing tradition of volleyball success, and the program is the state record holder with 38 appearances. They have qualified for 20-straight State volleyball tournaments and are the defending Class 2A State Champions.


Josie Raska, makes a block at the net during South Hardin's Class 2A State Quarterfinal match against Western Christian. Raska and Cora Frohwein are the only seniors on the Tiger roster.


South Hardin libero Jaidyn Teske finished with a match high 23 digs. The Tigers scrappy defense kept Western Christian on their toes.
