Ali Gerbracht

Ali Gerbracht leaps into her father/coach's arms after becoming the first girl to win a state title in a girls state tournament. The IWCOA Girls State Wrestling Tournament was held in Waverly on Saturday. She took gold at 106.

In the realm of Iowa wrestling, AGWSR’s Ali Gerbracht is Neil Armstrong. Better, she’s Amelia Earhart.

With two falls and a decision at 106, Gerbracht was the first to have gold placed around her neck in the inaugural IWCOA Girls State Wrestling Tournament in Waverly. Nine others followed, out of 112 girls in the tournament.
