Both teams defenses ended scoring threats the first five innings of the game on Wednesday. While South Hardin and West Marshall had base runners in three of the frames before scoring, they were all left stranded.

It was the Tigers that scored first but a big seventh allowed the Trojans to take the lead and the 6-1 victory.
